Ever since I was old enough to pick up a pencil I have always loved drawing and painting and being able to use my creative imagination. I new art and creativity would focus big in my life.
My Dad was an architect and my Mum loved to sew on her old Singer sewing machine. She would regularly make my two sisters and I fab, colourful clothes to wear. My Dad was a huge inspiration and mentor to me and he always said I could achieve anything if I really set my heart on it.
So I went on to Art college and after 5 years dabbling in fashion and illustration, I finally ended up specialising in graphic design which I have continued to do for a number of years now. I still had a yearning to create and in my spare time would experiment with various crafty techniques. Glass painting was one, then a few years ago I bought a box of brightly coloured beads and have never looked back!
I get so much pleasure when I tip out a pile of gorgeous beads on my table and then move them around to see which one complements which. Some times i will sit for hours until the mix looks right, then when it all clicks I can start to thread/create my piece.

Dorset Team Christmas Fair: Sarah will be selling jewellery and cards at the Dorset Team Christmas Fair on Saturday 3rd December at the Allendale Centre in Wimborne.
