Dorset Team Christmas Fair 2023 - Maker Lineup - Wimborne

Announcing our Dorset Team makers and sellers for our Dorset Team Christmas Fair 2023 in Wimborne

Our Dorset Team Christmas Fair has proudly been running for over 10 years in the same venue! It is a much loved event in the calendar with a chance to shop from lots of amazing makers and sellers from right across Dorset.

With the Dorset Team being the local Etsy team, most of our sellers at Etsy sellers and often are only found online so this is a great opportunity to shop in person and pick up some really unique gifts.

Dorset Team Winter Fair 2022 - Allendale Centre in Wimborne

Dorset Team Winter Fair 2022 will the first of three Winter/Christmas events that we are running.

We are so excited that this year the Winter Fair is going to be a TWO day event which means....even more makers selling with us across the two days.

Stalls will be by local artists and makers who will be selling unique, quality products. There will also be some stalls selling craft supplies for those who would like to give making a go and vintage products too.

Come down and support and shop small this Christmas.

Entry is FREE and it is going to be a really fun, festive day out.

When: Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November (option for one or both days)

Where: Allendale Centre - Wimborne

Who: Independent makers and sellers from across Dorset - including Etsy sellers

Maker's Story:

I am lucky enough to live in one of the smallest counties in England, close to the Jurassic coast and right in the middle of Hardy's Wessex. With no cities or motorways, Dorset is mostly rural and is an area of outstanding beauty.

Living here inspired me to indulge my more creative side and once I made the decision to limit my work tutoring I began to really enjoy taking up new skills. I have always enjoyed experimenting with different mediums but it has only been in the last five years that I really began to enjoy textiles.

My love of felting, finds me working in the kitchen, close to the kettle and butler sink. This gives me ample opportunity to watch my growing number of garden birds preening and feeding themselves in my kitchen garden.

My studio is located in my 18th century cottage in a spare bedroom which happen to have a good amount of natural light but when I host felt making parties we gather in one of my favourite rooms in the house. The dining room is perfect to teach needle felting during a workshop and I particular enjoy doing so to a group who are invariably enthusiastic and keen to learn a very versatile and rewarding skill.

Dorset Team Christmas Fair: Mary Jane Lillie will be selling her beautiful handmade gifts at the Dorset Team Christmas Fair on Saturday 3rd December at the Allendale Centre in Wimborne.

Doors open at 10am and close at 4pm and it is free entry.
